Mounting Above and Below the Fireplace 

For safe clearance from heat vents, mount the fireplace at least 8 inches from the ceiling. Leave 8 inches of space between the fireplace and a flat-screen TV for TV mounting. We recommend placing the fireplace at least 6 inches from the floor.
