How to Measure Your TV For the Best Fit in a Touchstone TV Lift Cabinet

Did you know a 65-inch television is not 65 inches wide? The advertised size TV manufacturers use is the diagonal screen measurement from the top left corner of the screen to the bottom right corner of the screen. This measurement does not include the frame (bevel) around the screen. This can cause some confusion when trying to figure out if your TV will fit in a Touchstone TV Lift Cabinet.

How to compare TV diagonal measurement with horizontal measurement

To figure out the wall area or cabinet space your flat screen television will need, use a tape measure to determine the horizontal width, vertical height and depth from edge to edge, including the frame (bezel) around the screen.

How to Measure Your TV

Step 1:
Measure the TV Horizontal Width
Measure horizontally from the left outer edge of the frame to the right outer edge of the frame.
Step 2:
Measure the TV Height
 Measure vertically from the extreme top of the TV to the extreme bottom of the TV. Include the frame in your measurements.
Step 3:
Measure the TV Depth
Measure from the extreme front of the TV to the extreme back of the TV. Don't include the measurement of an attached TV stand.
