Do It Yourself Modern Fireplace Makeover

"A Fun DIY Project"

Chantell shares, “It was a fun DIY project that allowed me to completely transform the wall into a focal point. I built a custom frame using wood studs, then added drywall and painted it to match the space. I incorporated trim for a finished look and made sure the proportions complemented the room."

After painting the drywall, Chantell added a dark gray faux marble wallpaper wrap. She then mounted her TV and inserted the Touchstone Electric Fireplace in the opening underneath. Chantell says next time she would skip painting and just add the wall covering. In the future, she may replace the wallpaper with tiles.
